To follow up, I did not make the mantle exactly. But I did get something much, much more.
My own place on the wall directly facing each and every guest who enters the Carver home. With two spotlights beaming onto the framed photo of yours truly. Spotlights, people.
It was no surprise then, as our annual New Year's Eve overnight with Mindy and Charissa approached that the idea of doing glamour shots came up.
As the alcohol poured, so did the liquid foundation, the hot curlers, the eye liner and the gaudy lipstick. And out the window went anything that resembled inhibition.
Mindy and Charissa getting warmed up for the camera.
Mindy, the timeless beauty.
Charissa loved the camera so much and worked it SO hard, we had to put two of her.
Kylie Minogue anyone?
Sandi was the best sport of all, allowing a very eye-pencil happy Charissa have her way with her. She went for the eighties retro look complete with leather jacket and angry glare. Mindy photographed her and was overheard saying, "Everyone wants to be you" as she pulled the drama from deep inside Sandi.
