birthday, fun day

We made a day out of celebrating Maya's birthday. Sandi woke before the little rooster and decorated the downstairs with ballons and signs. Then a small gift from her big sister to get her day started right.

Then onto the Discovery Museum for the morning where we were the only people in the whole place and she had her moms entirely to herself.

Sandi built this Tower of Excellence which stood well over 6 feet and required a roped off area so other museum goers would not be injured.
Maya insisted on singing "Tomorrow" in the karaoke room.  We did this about 25 times. At one point she went outside the room to play producer and work with the levers and buttons...
and then she became a devoted fan of my work.  I loved every second of it.

She got this beautiful pink rose for her birthday.
And this incredibly photogenic baby that she insisted sit at the table in her high chair.

By the end of the day, she was pooped.  As she was getting ready for cake we said, "Do you want to open another present?"

She replied: "I want to go to bed."

Last gift.. the scooter.  Maya's got wheels!

Happy Birthday, big girl.
